Go.Data is an advanced software solution developed by the World Health Organization in collaboration with partners from the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN). It serves as an effective tool for outbreak investigation and field data collection, emphasizing the organization of case and contact data, which includes laboratory results, hospitalization details, and other pertinent variables collected through a case investigation form.

The platform comprises two primary components: a web application that can function on a server or as a stand-alone application, and an optional mobile app dedicated to case and contact data collection as well as follow-up. It is important to note that the mobile application operates exclusively in conjunction with the Go.Data web application; it cannot function independently. Each instance of the Go.Data web application is installed separately by various countries or institutions on their respective infrastructures.

One of the notable features of Go.Data is its multilingual capability, allowing users to add and manage additional languages through the user interface. The software is designed to be highly configurable, offering a range of management options for:

• Outbreak data, including variables from both the case investigation form and the contact follow-up form
• Case, contact, and contact-of-contact data
• Laboratory data
• Reference data
• Location data

A single installation of Go.Data can efficiently manage multiple outbreaks, each configured to address the specific characteristics of a given pathogen or environment. Users have the flexibility to add cases, contacts, contacts of contacts, and laboratory results. Furthermore, there is an option to create events relevant to the outbreak investigation. Contact follow-up lists are generated based on outbreak parameters, such as the duration for follow-ups, frequency per day, and follow-up intervals.

Go.Data also offers extensive data export and import functionalities to facilitate the efforts of data managers and analysts.
